This is the number one sport played there and is still thriving in the atmosphere. Some would say people that people that were born in Canada had a stick in there hand. This metaphorically speaking, that the sport ice hockey is "in their blood". It all started from when the game was invented in the mid-1850s, by the British soldiers which were based in Canada. As years went by, on May 12, 1994, ice hocky became known as the winter sport of Canada. This game is a universal sport, that many Canadians take pride in. Even though, the country speaks two different languages and has different religions, the sport ice hockey unites them all into one. Within the Canadian quilts, it is an artwork that shows Canada's diversity. It celebrates its people's common humanity and promotes harmony and compassion amoung all people. Canada is a country, that includes many different types of people, languages, and religions . In the 1970s, there was a great amount of interest for this art. As many people started realizing how a lot of people enjoy this pastime event, an Canadian Quilers' Association started to develope. Another major part of Canada's folk culture, would in their Kashubian Dance. This dance is a part of Canada's culteral heritage. As years past, the dance almost died out, but now people are trying to bring the culteral dance back. The dance shows expressions and project the joy of the culture. This dance could also be put to music. Whenever you sing, you are speaking a language. Both music and dance all show a type of cultere to an area. All areas are not going to show the same exact culture. Every area is going to differ in many ways depending on where you live and how you live.
Housing/ Architecture
There are many different types of housing, depending on where you want to go and where you want to live in Canada. Canada's architecture and housing is somewhat same but different as the United States of America. In the United States of America, we have more modernized buildings but they can look differently depending on what part of the country you go to. Even though some areas may have similiar building structures, you can find many areas that differ from what they look like architectural wise. As you can see from the photos above, the housing/ architecture in Canada has a more modernized feel to it. But if you were to move out of the suburb area and maybe more into a urban (city like) area, the housing may looks different. You would probably move from a larger house, with a backyard, and calm sidewalks to a more smaller building (like an appartment), with not much or not at all backyard space, with sidewalks that are in the mix of the city feel. Canada is a more developed country (MDC), therefore they have more money to buy better materials for housing. Some of these material could include: stack stone, brick, stained wood, ect....... This could differ from a less developed country (LDC), becuases many people their can't afford the "luxery" supplies for a more modernized house look. Instead of using stacked stone, brick, stained wood, and ect..... They will use more supplies like: sod, timber, stone, mud brick, and ect.....
Clothing
People in Hollywood make it seem that Canada clothing is practically the same as the United States of America clothing. Even though they have some of the same trends and a more modernized style, Canada does still have a different and unique sense to their clothing. Both men and women in Canada wear parkas, long john's, ear muffs, scarves, gloves, mittens, tuques, different types of linen and leather jackets, leggings, flannels, ojibwa shirts, trousers, and moccasins. In the first picture, you can see that the women wearing a parka, as well as a hat, gloves, boots, and a scarf. This is because of the much colder weather in Canada. Even though people in Canada wear many garmets that could keep them warm, they still dress in a more modernized style. In the second picture, this dipicts a major name brand in Canada for leather jackets. This company is called the Canadian Goose. It is known for making jackets for the cold weather and harsh climates. In Canada, it could get as cold as -40 degrees (-40 degrees farenheight) celcius and as warm as 20 degrees celcius(68 degrees farenhieght). Overall, most of the time in Canada, it has colder weather. So jackets, gloves, scarves, ect..... are highly needed.

Shawn Mendes is a musician that writes many songs and releases them on an albumn out to the public for millions of people to listen to and purchase. Not only does he release music, but he also perfroms world- wide for many people to go and see him. He would be a representation of a pop culture musician through the entertainment industry in Canada. The other picture to the right shows a major multi-genre movie star named Ryan Gosling. He is a very well known movie actor from Canada that is known world-wide for big/high roles in A list movies, also known as major new movies in the film industry . Usually big pop artist, like Shawn Mendes and Ryan Gosling, come from more developed countries (MDC). In more developed countries, they are more in tune with pop culture. Although 3.2 may seem like a small percentage and minority as a religion in Canada, it has expierenced growth in the recent years. Even though the people of Canada believe in these religions, there is no official religion for Canada. Even though Canada does not have an "official language", they do still have many more Christian influences in the Canadian culture. For example, Christmas and Easter are major holidays which are celebrated by Christains. These days are concidered nationwide holidays in Canada. While other religions, are allowed to take their religious holiday off of work. An important part of Canada's culture, is that it supports and believes that the citizens of Canada should have its religious freedom. Canada is a multi- cultural society with many different ethnicities, cultural, and religious communities.
