As you look at the map, you can conclude that most of the immigrants that come to Canada are from European countries. To be more specific, the United Kingdom is one of the largest percent of immigrants that come to Canada. According to the map, most of them immigrate to northern Canada. Another large percent of immigrants that migrate to Canada, are from the Philippines. Based on the map, the immigrants from the Philippines, are typically settling in central Canada. Since Canada has many immigrants, this could effect the amount of people speaking different languages and their culture. The two dominant languages that Canadians speak are French and English. Studies are showing that since many immigrants are coming to Canada, the next most spoken language is Arabic.

Migrants will emmigrate out of their home country, and immigrate into Canada. Emmigration is the process of when a migrant leaves a country and moves into another country. Immigration is when a person enters into a new country. Many people move into a new country because of push and pull factors. A push factor is what makes a person want to leave a country. For example, armed conflict, climate, crime, or oppressed government. A push factor is what causes a person to be drawn into an area. Such as job opportunities, cost of living, climate, or what is best for their family. Canada is a more developed country(MDC).Therefore, they are going to attract immigrants with their job opportunities, family living, and cost of living.
